My X14XE has Pipercross Viper induction kit, mantzel replica inlet manifold and backbox and was rolling roaded at 103bhp. Its also stripped out and weighs only 890kg. Decat makes a good difference.

Not really, need high lift cams, which means your onto pocketted pistons and such.. Gets much more pricey.
Matt C/JR's old 1.4 engine ran Omex ECU, cams, pocketted pistons, inlet, exhaust manifold etc and made 136bhp. It had a lot of setup work from what I can remember...
1.4 16v is a good little engine, but on the road, always overshadowed by the 1.6 and its massive amount of extra road torque (on paper its not much, on the road, its huge).

How much more hp would a lexmaul/mantzel and a decent exhaust add to a 1.6 then?

He posted a thread asking about them yesterday, it was a joke, I'm glad you found it annoying enough that you had to reply though, thanks

How long is a peice of string........
Depends on mileage, engine condition etc etc.... Some engines will make 10bhp, some will make 30bhp.....
Every single engine will be different, its not "peak" power you only want to be interested in.
Torque on the 1.4 will go up to maybe 105lb ft... The 1.6 will be making 115+lb ft. Will pull harder in gear, and from a lower rpm.
