hi, if i buy an after-market manifold for my x14xe engine (1.4 16v sport ecotec) what do i do with the ecotec that comes off the standard manifold? take it off or what?

you carnt take ecotech off, the bit your talking about is the SAI, leave it plugged in but get rid of it all

if talkin about the sai,

yes you can take it off and it will have no effect on the running of the car, it only puts hot air in to warm up the cat quicker and help with emissions!

if the new manifold has a whole for it you need to get it welded up
