What do you mean fleet insurance?

I can drive any car and have been able to since I was 21.

People with quinn direct seem to get it at any age but there is a bit of debate about whether it's legit or not.

Or do you actually mean insuring a fleet of cars?

Think you can get it but you maybe limited to cars under a certain engine size until you reach a certain age. Also you cant drive steam engines, so that includes overheating french cars

I thought that they made it illegal for that to be on any policy now, As people were buying small engined, cheap to insure cars but running around in bigger more expensive cars

No, but it's illegal for the bigger more expensive cars to be on the road without having their own insurance policy.

THEORY

i have a 1.4 corsa and i am insured with quinn. I want to drive a my dads 325 bmw. His car is insured on his name, but no named drivers and no open drive policy. But he says i can drive it. Whats the crack?

The above isnt true i just dont understand it all. I know someone who is doing this (different cars but same theory) and im not convinced!

Yep, that's OK as long as your Quinn policy says that they will insure you on someone else's car.

Usually it says that they will insure you on 'a vehicle not owned or hired to you' - so that just rules out you owning a second car and using the policy to cover it without the car having its own policy.

As you say, as long as the car has its own policy then it's all good.

edit: I've only had other car coverage on my policy since I've been 25, never used it though.

I cant see how that works tbh.

why does the other car have to be insured then? Because by the sounds of it, it has nothing to do with what the other cars insurance companys says, just quinn.

So if you claim you are going to claim off quinn, not the other persons car insurance?

I think its just to stop people getting better cars, legally owned by their mum or someone and them driving it.

Its really so you can drive you mates/family cars legally
