Sick of seeing charity appeals on TV atm?? They seem to be on every interval
I don't want to sponsor a dog, a donkey, an african kid, a monkey or a horse

If I want to donate I will do. Usually to a charity that has done something to affect my life in some way, and doesn't spend a chunk of its money on flashy ad campaigns that get on my tits.

as i said, TV is a good place for charitys to advertise to the massive variety of different viewers, if every ignorant person turned it over when it was on then nothing would happen.
