Ive used both (gas and elec). Prefer electric oven and gas hob combination, I find that on gas oven stuff at the back where the flame is gets burnt, plus you can get fan assisted elec ovens which cook faster. Gas hob preferred for faster and easier control

Our gas hob is shit - flame gets blown out if you leave the window open on a breezy day and spoons become super heated - would much prefer an electric hob.
Electric fan oven is much better than gas too.

No, apparently it some sort of cut off or something to stop that, hence why not dangerous.
Just really annoying that you set something to boil, walk off, come back when its supposed to be finished and its cold

Jesus, that would shit me right up I have to say in our old place the cooker looked like it was from the 70's, the flames were shite but they never went out......
If its been certified though I guess its alright
