I had a yellow plug in my loom when I did my conversion, it's just lying redundant somewhere near the ECU - I haven't noticed any problems...

Don't think this is quite what you're asking but might help

What year is the engine from?

And what colour plugs does your new x16 ECU have?

The EML could be coming up due to the knock sensor.

You have a late engine, with and early ECU by the sound of things.

The early x16's have a knock sensor with 1 wire, whereas the later x16's have 2.

Anybody feel free to correct me if im wrong!

Try a later ECU
