ive got a 1.6 sport 1999, ive been told when the egr valve goes you can blank it off am nt sure bout this my self i rung vauxhall they said it cnt be done but my mate is admittent that it can be so can it be done? if not ow much on avergage is it to get one fitted on my car if i already bought the valve.

I had a similar problem earlier today - the bloke at Vauxhall said that Vauxhall don't supply them... 
I said they did but yea didn't get very far

Buy an EGR gasket from your motor factors, and use this as a template.
Fabricate a blanking plate from some sheet steel/ally.
Use some gasket paper and cut to size to match your blanking plate to seal her up.
Job done, and bobs quite possibly your uncle

apparantly theres a blanking plate for the astra which has the same engine n same gasket as the corsa will that fit? will the engine management light stay on still??
by the when the egr is broke that is the reason why the car feels lyk its bin pulled bk n not another problem too.
