ive just started to take my ariel off hope it wuld just need a certian size bung but its a square hole is there anything i can put in it just for now untill i can get it smothed over by a body shop?

yeah, put the ariel back in and let the body shop take it off when they smooth it over.

Yep, just because it's a square hole doesn't mean an rubber grommet won't fit in it.
I've had a rubber grommet in mine since the summer and it hasn't leaked once, can't remember the size though unfortunately.

Indeed Marc, it works 
I bought a pack of grommets in Halfords a year ago, to fill the wiper hole, and it was one of the ones in there that fitted the aerial hole too.
I think the pack had 17mm, 19mm and 22mm in there? Actually, it may have even been called 'aerial grommets'
