You only get one set of eyes so whats 2k in the grand scheme of things!

I could live with that.

The wavefornt appears to be the best... probably go for that as you want the best when it comes to your eyes...

Went for the consultation...

Wavefront with Intralase worked out at £2595 for both eyes... Thought that was a bit expensive so will be going for a few more quotes elsewhere...

someone told me that one of the big firms (optimax or ultralase i think) advertise appointments on ebay, either when they get a cancellation or empty appointments.
Is better for them to charge a lower fee than have no appointment at all and get no money!

whats wavefront?

i've thought about having this done recently as i'm -2.25 in both eyes like you mark.

i have no problem putting contact lenses in but it's not an inconvenience and sometimes feel tired because of them.

Wavefront guided lasik treatment is a specialized form of the surgery and replaces the general procedure with one which is tailored to the precise optics of your eye. This is particularly suitable for anyone with irregular shaped eyes.

The wavefront guided laser is adapted to for individual physical and optical characteristics of each eye.

Wavefront provides an advantage to those with large pupils and poorer night time vision. The optical performance of the eye is measured in several places and the Lasik procedure is programmed to provide the most optimum dosage in each area. Contrast sensitivity in low light is improved and the risk of developing night time halos and glare is greatly decreased.

Wavefront Lasik Surgery is usually more expensive then standard Lasik procedures but will be the only option for Lasik treatment for many individuals.

I like the thought that it is tailored to your eyes...
