It's the adrenaline feeling and the rush they get from it I guess
Like Jackass and Dirty Sanchez - they cause themselves pain for the buzz afterwards

Shocking!
I live near to railway lines and I can honestly say my mates and I have never been near them. Not worth the risk/mess if you get hit.

I work for a company who has a rail division. I have a PTS so i can work on the railway line with others etc and trust me its bad enough being a few metres away from a functional line with trains going past at 125mph

I do the same thing and believe me the wind suck as it goes past you means you want to be holding on with both hands, not filming
On the course they show you a video that shows just how bloody close and fast they go past you.
The Corsa in that video is stupid, the guy who runs infront is just suicidal.

Dunno bout where u live but in Lincoln the barriers go down about 3 minutes before the train arrives (no joke) so I gun it for before the barriers start moving. If they are already on the way down I dont though.
May well be retarded, but I cant be arsed sitting out on my pushbike in the rain any longer waiting for an empty carriage to come past in 5 minutes at 10mph
