I would imagine the triple core at a guess, might not be as fast as the dual core one but it will be able to handle more operations surely

I'd say the dual core. The triples were notoriously shite.
Get the x2 and overclock the bad boy to 3ghz and you'll be laughing!

i have the phenom x4 9550 quad core, and its pretty good.
will be upgrading to a 9950 soon though.
ive also heard the early phenom x3's 7*** were aweful, but the later versions have improved.
make sure if your planning on clocking you get the black edition too, (same price)

Get the X2 5600+ Black Edition. Brilliant processor with an unlocked multiplier so you can OC it like mad.
