Author left sided door speaker wont work

got a 1994 SRI and the left sided door speaker wont work i put the wire to the metal on the speaker and nowt comes on..
were does the wire run from it goes up the door card anyone no what problem could be

get a tester and test the live going to the speaker mate, if theres nothing going to it try the multi plug on the door
