i tryed ftting a lmf corsa b 2.0l short shift to the f20 gearbox lastnite i cant get it to fit. has anyone had this problem or do i need some of the gear linkage from the corsa as i tryed fitting the short shift with the gearbox on my work bench as i havent put the engine in yet. any help would be great cheers rob

Sorry can't help, but does the short shift save you modifying the linkage?

Yes, also a million times better shift feel. They also replace the weak plastic bits on the standard corsa linkage.

do you have the spacer in?
without the spacer the short shift doesn't work i believe( i may be wrong)
the old linkage won't work with a spacer..so it could be that mate.

the gearbox isn't in the car mate it is on my workbench atm as i haven't fitted the engine yet. i tryed fitting the short shift on to the f20 gear box but i cant work out how it goes on do i need the abit of the gear linkage from the corsas gearbox?

yes mate the bits on each end of my pic, the left goes onto gearbox rod bit, the middle goes onto the swivel bit and the right hand side goes to your gearnob (once the engine is in the car lol)

yeah mate, best to get some nylon bushes in there too, and your linkage shouldn't fuck anytime soon!

make sure you get the clips that hold the ball joints in place as the kit i got from lmf didnt come with.
and when selecting reverse the ball joints kept popping off

yea iv got one on the car and its great!! I had no problems fitting it, as i had the linkage off the car like you have. Pulled the old one apart, put the relevant new bits in, sprayed on some grease and off i went!
