My friend stupidly went to put his e/windows down when they still had ice on them..... there was a snap - now they dont go down. Would the motors have just disconnected themselves or would they be broken? Its a 2001 micra

The glass may have cracked? If when he's pushing the button, is the motor/switch still making the noise etc?

take the dorr cards off and have a look, nost likely a plastic link has snapped
