Theres a single screw and bracket that holds the cable in place on the slam panel and acts as an adjuster, if you remove this you can losen the cable enough to unhook it from the catch spring, you can then with draw the cable from the slam panel. You then need to release it from the lever in the kick panel and then its the fun of trying to get the bugger out of the engine bay without it catching on everything else
