Keep the receipt and get a refund? Something along the lines of heat the glass and film, use warm soapy water and slide the film in place using something flat to squeeze out the air bubbles.

Halfords dont do window tinting do they ? You are best taking it to a propper tinting company

Can't do a window that's curved in 2 planes without a heatgun and knowing what you are doing.

at taking it to halfords or a local garage, the teach all mechanics how to apply film these days don't they

take it to a tints place, its usually £100 for any car.

Did the sunroof from my 205 with a polarised film.

Bloody horrendous task.

Would never undertake it again.

+1 Never ever ever, it always bubbles and goes shite.

I would assume the best and only way to do it (properly) would be to remove the glass and tint it properly??? That way the whole window gets done

I done the 2 back side windows on my old corsa and you wouldn't be able to tell the difference from a professional, if it's flatish it's easy.

Don't need to reomve the windows, i'd be surprised if most of the guys who do it for 100 do, would be a lot of extra work when you can do it fine with them in.

Suppose, surely if you film the windows still in when you wind the window down, doesnt it get caught? For windows that done move, like the back ones would probly be pretty good

Naa they just push it down past the rubber, when it's dried in it's very difficult to get off.

Its always funny when you watch Traffic Cops etc the chavs with their 150% window tints trying desperatly to peel a bit off at the side of the road to please plod
