What sort of mix should i use
sand 3, cement 1

also do i need to use a fedmix - hardner

What we used to do was to rake out the walls about 10-15mm deep then do a mix of 4:1 (4 parts sand to 1 parts cement). Always add the febmix or plasticiser as it makes it easier to work with, but dont add too much, follow the guides on the bottle as some makes are stronger than others.
