what is the best idea to increase air flow and whatever gains it gives?

eh i would say a decent air filter would be better. but in terms of hot air getting in to the engine the drilled box would be better as the box acts like a heat shield. but i suppose they both have ther plus and minus points

Neither will give you any real gains but drilled box and a decent panel filter is best imo.

yeah the cone filter will make it more boggy in lower revs ...

speaking from personal experiance ive had better results with the drilled standard airbox
