passed my drivin test this morning, took me 5 weeks from when i done the theory until i passed the practical, only had 5 lessons, am over the moon now

Word of advice, which you probably wont listen to but anyway....you only learn to start driving now so take it easy for a while!

thanks, naw i have a 1.4 16v sport, but making it a gsi rep, have all thr parts just need it painted,

yeah i know what you mean cosmo, i dont see the point in driving mad or fast like, only gets you points on your liscense not fun

Its not just speeding, its general awareness and driving on roads you never have.

I was driving 4 days after I passed on a dual carriageway, lights were out and didnt expect the speed limit to be anything less than the standard 70. Turned out I missed the sign for it going down to 40, came to a bad bend, reacted all wrong as a new driver and spun it.

Have driven the same bend many times since at faster speeds and never had a problem, was purely down to my inexperience just after passing.

But to reitterate what cosmo said, you do only start learning to drive now. When your out by yourself, and something goes a bit wrong you havent got the security of someone in the car, React badly if caught out at high speeds, people will try to race you etc.

Just keep a level head, take it slow and always be watching out.
