Right to start this thread, I'm asking for advice not opinions, I'm not bothered that its easier to buy a 1.6.
Crack on..
So whats needed to convert it?
Also can I use my gearbox or will i need another?
Thanks in advance

My advice, is to sell your complete engine/gearbox unit as one, then buy a complete engine/gearbox unit and install that. Will save you loads of time and money.
I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.

get the 1.6 gearbox and engine, loom, transponder and key chip (it won't start without the key chip) I think the wiring is a bit annoying because the car has EPAS
