well its a 1.0 12v sting and i keep having to jump it from other cars, battery is fine and keeps it charge and its readings are normal yet i have to jump it from another car or push it to get it started.
It also keeps cutting out randomly and ill have to leave it for 5 minutes before itll start again. when it cuts out engine management light comes on and it makes out like its stalled.
Any ideas on whats wrong with it as its getting annoying having to call my mates so i can jump it from there car or ask them to push it lol

why do you have to jump it? will it not crank without being jumped? whats battery voltage with the engine not running and on cranking?

it doesnt seem to want to start if i jsut crank it over on its own if i wire another car to it itll usually start or if i get a bump start itll go aswell. not sure what the voltage readings were but the AA said they were fine when they checked it over, but they arent sure why it wont go.

id check those readings out, all bumping it would do is boost electrical suply and jumping also creates a boost by relieving the system of having to turn the starter motor. id be looking for around 13.5v with the engine off no less than 11 on cranking and 14 when running

Sounds to me like it could be the alternator. Check all the connections/earthing wire. If the alternator wasn't working then it would throw up a fault code and cut out. Did the exact same thing with my XE.
