check out specialized hardrocks, u might be able to find an 08 model for £250 or u can get an 09 for £300 by far the bext bikes in this price range.

The local bike shop in Aberystwyth says it very well....
"Our Adult bikes start at £230.00, we feel that this is the point at which a bike crosses over from being a poorly functioning disposable waste of resources, to being something of quality, suitable for long term use, and worth servicing and looking after. It will be built to a standard that lets you really enjoy riding it"
You get what you pay for basically. The Hardrock will do you very well
