yeah will fail the mot (unless it's a pre-92 engine iirc)
and it's not hard to remove. Could always put the cat back on for the mot if you really want a de-cat

Depends on year of car/engine. If the car was registered after 1992 then yes it should have a cat but if the emissions are still low enough without a cat and your tester isn't picky then it could still pass.
Chances are your emissions will be too high without the cat fitted though.
They're not hard to change over.

its for my mate he wants to take the cat out so he gets a popping noise from the exhaust, will this happen if the cat is taken out he has a 1.2 8v corsa
