Think it's just rubber trim from windows and stuff
Go steal some off a car in the scrap yard.
I'm sure someone will tell you where you can buy it new, It has a metal edge to it so it can be bent into shape

you can get it from a tool place, its used on top of tool boxes around the sharp enges, snapon sel it but dint think its cheap from them

I can get that stuff from work. It's used for, as shep said, covering sharp edges - on cable trays in our case.
