Either original screw holes would match up (lets face it a redtop can) or if anything create new ones

Um all i done was swap the front of the Aircon style glove box with a normal one......
take the glove box out and take two plastic pins out (that the flap hinges on), then ease the plastc arm out of the hole (you will see what im on about when you do it) then reverse the the first steps to put the new one on and HEY PRESTO! You have cup holders 
fill the little holes at the back of the stubby box to prevent loss of smaller items 
I worked it out just by taking it apart.
