got the tunes appearing in the external drive but there is nothing coming up in i tunes library

could do with some help before the missus wants to chop my balls off

need it sorted to get tunes on her ipod for our holiday

Move the folder to the external drive.
In iTunes, goto Preferences -> Advanced, change the iTunes folder to the new folder.
Then go File -> Add Folder to Library, and add the folder. It'll rescan all the tracks back into the library.
