I've looked round the site but couldnt find any info on it.
Could you give me some tips on what branded product to use and just general tips.
...or if there is already a page about it, let me know.

TBH the Megs kit is prob a good one for beginners.
I personally only use Dodo or Bilt Hamber. Also used to use Sonus green.

You do realise paint is not an endless thickness it will wear down to the primer using T-cut and cutting compound all the time.

I had a bilt hamber one which was pretty good.
It's just about full of shit now though, so looking for a new one.
Looking at a few sites yesterday and the prices vary massively. You can go from about £8 for a refill up to £22 for a higher end brand in a nice tub.
The meguirs one certainly doesn't look like good value though at £13 or so for 50g of clay.
The bilt hamber is £11 for 150g and comes in regular or soft compound to get it to mould to panel shapes quicker. Granted no quick detailer, but if you can use water, why bother with that?

bilt hamber is the only one ive used and use but it works spot on so see no reason to change it, plus you dont need any special lube.
just stick in google or ebay theres thousands of places to get it from these days.

I've had the Megs one and now got the Sonus, I don't think personally the Sonus one is as good as the Megs one from Halfords

Easier for newbies as its not the most agressive one out there so means you can clay without having to worry about marring the paint too much, and you buy it with all the kit together so saves hassle I suppose. Don't rate it that much.
Zymol clay?! You have too much money - not worth the price tag at all! Bilt Hamber ftw!

i think any clay can be used with a plant spray bottle and water, as the clay jsut needs a lube, megs supply with a detailing spray bt i used water when the spray ran otu and worked out jsut as nice.

Bilt Hamber can be used with just plain water, still need to spray that on using a spray bottle though.
