my mate did a masters which meant that he got into a lot of debt (as masters costs a lot more), meanwhile doing his masters credit crunch happened and now he can't get a job!

If he hadn't of done his masters, he'd of been looking for a job with his normal degree pre credit crunch and its likely he'd of already had a job!

i wouldn't recommend getting into more debt for masters. in my opinion at the moment the thing thats getting jobs is experience.

not quali's... there's gonna be even more students piling out without jobs soon.

I'd like to do a masters but I'd like to get it funded by my company which is something they offer.

However i'm not sure whether to do an MSc in something like Finance of Computer Science or do an MBA.

i left my job to start a building surveying degree as i thought tough times were ahead of us.

I think by the time i would have finished my course (in 3 years time) the economy will have stabilised.

There was an increase in students applying for uni recently, with the majority mature students

My work have sent me back to uni one day a week to do another BSc in Quantity Surveying and Commercial Construction Management. Not because work is drying up, just because they want me to train further.

Sadly nothing like SHU though mate

I've an interview in the morning for a job that will be paying for my masters (if I get it.) I really want the job but not feeling confident at all.
