ASKING ON BEHALF OF A FRIEND
Hi All
Just wondering if anyone can help with the hessitation problem on my car.its a mk4 astra sport with the x18xe1 engine in.
it had a slight hesitation problem where it would sound like it was firing on 3 when you accelerate at around 20mph. i changed all these parts
TB (ICV BUILT IN)
coilpack
injectors
spark plugs
the eml is on at the minute but it was on when i bought it.it shows the code
P0505 Idle Control System
THIS WAS BEFORE I CHANGED ALL THE PARTS.ITS STILL ON NOW BUT THINK I NEED THIS RESETTING.
now ive noticed,when i start the car from cold it sits at 900rpm but once its warm it sits at 1200rpm
could this be an air leak ina pipe in the intake system ?
i have been on other forums asking for help but hopefully you guys will know

I cleaned the TB on mine and it ran perfectly after.... It wasn't even that dirty if truth be told, but it's obviously affects the idle a fair bit as mine was hunting all over the show when sat in traffic.

cheers for that mase.its had a brand new tb though so im abit baffled.is the icv the only sensor running idle for the car?

Probably a vacuum leak.. Can you hear a leak? WD40 is good for finding them

i can hear a slight whining sound coming from the driver side of the engine
ive changed
throttle body with icv
coilpack
injectors
injector cleaner
spark plugs
still cant find it 
do i just spray wd40 on the inlet pipes and look for bubbling?
