Hi all
On a C20LET engine If I'm running just a TX autosport single-V bottom pulley, and a single-V alternator.... where can I buy a belt from? No PAS or aircon, just the two pulleys mentioned.
Cheers

easiest way would be to get some string and wrap it round the pulleys. take it into a motor factors and get them to find a belt thats same size

Or maybe a tiny bit smaller than that size if available so it's got a good bit of tension on it.

yeh or get the string with them at the smallest you can with the alternator bracket, give you plenty of adjustment then aswell

Good call batman, and I suppose that way you could use a belt a little bit bigger than the string and adjust the bracket outwards!
I dont suppose anyone knows of an off-the-shelf belt for another car that fits?
If not and I find one I will post up

if its not an under drive pulley, the std belt listed for the engine should fit fine. there is quite a bit of adjustment on the slider on the alt.

I thought it'd be the same setup as on the XE where the alty can only go in one position? If not what's it like?

Every LET I've seen is multi-vee though, not single-vee.
What XE cars had a single-vee? Astra GTE? If so yes I could just get a GTE alt belt.

There's two setups, the one you mention (with bracket on top of the alternator too) but also an adjustable one on a slider

Right just for the record I've used a standard Astra GTE 16v belt, at £2.62 from Autovaux
