i had severe wiplash and beleive me i'd rather go back to having a normal neck instead of getting the money.

i was involved in two accidents the first of which caused the problem in which i got £6k and the second which jusat added to my problems and i got £3.5k.

if you truely have problems then the money goes to paying for future treatment not mods on your car....

but as all have said... it all adds to our insurance so we all lose in the long run!

Mine went into my

"new bike and holiday, and mortgage" fund

I still have it.

I should have gone for more, but it was one of those no win no fee things. I took the initial offer as suggested by the solicitor (they get more if you get paid more, so not in her interest to say take it).

If i'd have rejected the initial offer (for the sake of another few hundred), and I didn't get more, i'd have had to pay the solicitor fee's.

Wasn't worth it, so taking the initial offer shouldn't always be ignored. Depends on the entire situation.

As said, if your not injured, don't be a pikey, don't claim.

not that i have ever claimed but do you really believe if the number of claims went down by a great number this year out premiums would drop ?

im pretty sure it wouldnt infact i remeber reading about this when i was doing a buissness module at college and one year the payouts for insurance injury claims had fallen about 3% yet premiums were up an average of 5% or something like that, insurance companies are badgers.

They are...

I had a quote for 2 bikes, prices between £450-£800..... This was at the end of a month.

Start of next month, i revived the quote, and re-done it...

£1100 was the cheapest....

Go figure????
