ok, my dad wants to put all his old LP's onto cd's but not gotta clue how to do so. any body got any ideas???

hmm, stereo, output it to the soundcard in the back of the computer, download a program that records input on the soundcard to .mp3 format, record each song onto mp3's, may take time, then finally using CD writing software, (easy CD creator is good) , burn it as audio and tada.
this is the long way but,
you record each song to mp3 so you have another backup.
you can have invidual songs on the CD, instead of one long shit of a song.
