hay peeps as some might know my car got a nasty shunt and has been written off as a cat c
im thinking of repairing it as i cant stand any other cars ive driven and i really liked my little b
so how hard is it to replace the boot floor and the rear slam panel.. other bits are easy like sorting out straightening the inner wheel arch (just has a little split in it so no biggy) and cosmetic stuff i.e. bumper lights tail gaite.
all help will be much apreciated(sp)

just a case of drilling shte loads of spot welds out. can you not just knock it straight and put new bumper on or is it too bad for that

split the spare wheel well, and its folded some of the boot floor so pritty fooked lol..
would i need to get a spot welder or will pooling with a mig do the job?
and obviously will have to take the fuel tank out yeah..
also rear slam pannel is that prity easy to change?
wozza might be needing you to do the welding mate, got a garage now to park the wee beasty in lol. and give me that old xe lump when you half inch the one from the omega out back lol

i did my rear quarter with a mig no problem its not hard to do the hardest part is finding all the spot welds to get out theres fooking loads

basicaly i have taken the bumper and pritty much everything off the car now lol
what i can see thats bent is
other bits are bent like the boot floor but i cant find anywhere that sells them... someone help.
also the parts that the rear lamps sit into are a little bent so they need sorting but might be able to hammer them straight.
help me peeps

i got a 3 door shell we can cut up mate ... u can ahve the whole boot floor for 40 pound
im only gonna do it wen i space frame it anyways ... text me an let me kno dude

do you need your spare wheel well? if not just cut out the affected are and weld in a new plate. i doubt you will find a new panel for it and it will be a lot of work as you will need to drill the spots down the sides and along the floor behind the seats.

as above or cut a section out of one down the scrappy to replace the damaged section, clean it up and mig it in, wouldnt bother putting a new floor in

its that buggered it really does need a new floor.
just got off the phone to vauxhall and they say they are £284.
they call them the rear floor panel so im gona go hunting for them on the net lol

You could buy another car for £200 and use the shell and flog the rest.
It would be a similar amount of work to do and just as quick. You can strip and rebuild one in a weekend.
I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.
