Anyone know any good sites that would help me underrstand equations like this:

I did a maths A-Level which covered all of that stuff but it was 7 years ago and I can't remember any of it.

Thanks.

that looks familiar, think i did that sort of stuff on my HND engineering. try looking for engineering sites rather than just mathematics.

Dunno - it's finance stuff.

That's the equation to calculate the payout on an Asian option.

it's intergration, T and 0 are you limits K is a constant

you should already know T and K

tbh it's a monster of a question with lots of different principles thrown in!

This is something that I just could never get to grips with, I really haven't a clue what I'm looking at and really don't envy anyone that has to deal with these equations.

I think I've sussed it now, all I need is to sort the 'max' at the beggining - I've never integrated anything that has what I presume to be maximum before it

I did this in my Beng design engineering degree, luckely I have a £115 calculator that can do it all for me if I can remember how to actually put in the values.

TI-83 ?? That calculator has got me through my degree I reckon!

Yeah as said already, the S is a function of 't' which is to be integrated between the limits of '0' and 'T', with K being a constant...

Either that or the TI-83 I have are popular as you can load programs onto them that can work out matrices and the like... I wouldn't have been without mine!

yeah helps a great deal
for instance you can do calculations like....
X=12y+87.467g/h67-r56 find r if x=2 - in the time it takes to write that in the calculator.

[4+8] + [3-2] =
[2+9] [6-5]
