I have the wire brush, paint and brush but no brake cleaner....is it really necessary?
Are there any alternatives I can use instead? Cheers

hammerite will go onto anything, if you're not using that you could use some white spirits or turps.

I'll go for it anyway, if it's a bad result I'll have to sand it back down and do it properly.
I don't even have alloy wheels atm, I just don't have the time to paint them...hence why I'm going to do them now at half 9 at night just before it gets dark. lol
...done it, it looks really good tbh. Didn't need any solutions to remove anything after all, the paint sticks REALLY well as I can't seem to get it off my hands..
I'll repaint the drums when I paint the front calipers.

just rub the free rust off wit the brush then paint em m8, thats all i done
