That is usually how I text, using predictive texting it is just easier to spell proper words out rather than shortening them anyway.
Things that annoy me are bought/brought, and lend/borrow.
Im proberly too young to type and text properly.

texting and emailing, I always tend to use full words, punctuation etc.
although i do occasionally shorten words in texts if im just over the 1page thing .

is it really that hard for people to accept not everyone can spell or is brilliant at english?
i can understand not liking text speak but its a forum ffs, not an english exam

As I said on another post..
Its one thing making something readable... I type very fast, sometimes my fingers don't keep up, i'll miss a letter, or write teh instead of the etc......
But its another thing writing a peice of text that requires serveral re-reads to make sense of it.
If you want to talk in a retarded chavvy text type talk, then there are plenty of forums out there that will cater for these people.. No-one wants it here, no-one ever has wanted it here ever, so either write properly, or leave the building.....

Brilliance is generally something special.
Spelling things correctly, punctuating sentences and generally making an effort to be understood isn't brilliance, it's a prerequisite of being alive.
My spelling isn't perfect unassisted, nor my grammar without a proof-read. Which is why I make the effort to ensure that messages are readable and not illegible trash.
For everyone who comes on here saying 'it's just the internet' there are just as many people replying 'it's not so hard'.
An acceptable level of literacy should not elude anyone in the developed world. There is enough money floating around the education system to give that privilege to anyone who wants it. Sadly, not many these days do.
