I can only speak for myself but I believe most Scottish folks know that film was complete gobshite that deviated away entirely from history and the actual sequence of events purely so Mel Gibson could play a twat on a horse. Also, i was unaware that Scottish soldiers rely solely on English weaponry? Sounds a bit odd to me, but what do I know!

Tbh, the majority of us don't want independance because we do actually need you. If however all the sums added up and we would be able to support ourselves I would be quite happy to have independance, but we can't.
Back on topic I prefer Northern English people as from my experiences they are much easier to get on with, nicer in general and can have a bit of banter. Not saying I dislike all Southerners, some are decent folk, just prefer Northerners.

Well my mum was from Glasgow and my dad was from Yorkshire so i have northern blood running through my veins but im far down south

Thats exactly what I was going to say 
If we got the sole rights to the oil, we would be an independant country in a flash and be one of the richest countries in the europe, we would have an extra 4 billion a year to play with and tax would reduce to 12.5%

We wouldn't get the oil if we were to split though, hence the problem with Independance, a percentage yes, but not the whole lot. Plus there is the slight problem that the oil will run out, sooner rather than later therfore when it does we would be totally fucked!
