depends on the car imo.
I like the stretch look but it only suits certain cars.
like a modestly powerful car would just break traction left right and center with these surely?

Even I have ever so slight stretch on my wheels. Had to or they wouldn't have fitted. I like stretch in moderation, some of these are silly though.

slight stretch is fine, but some people take it too far.
wide wheels with wide tyres look the bollocks.
you can't say a bmw m5 doesn't look good with it's huge width rear tyres on.
it would look stupid with stretched tyres on the wheels wouldn't it.

it just looks shocking, and wrong, and dangerous.
someone mentioned about surface contact with the road. well for starters your generally stretching a tyre that is a narrow one to start with, ie 175 whereas 195' or 205's would ideally be on wheels like such in normal cases, so in effect you have less contact with the road.
i know its a scene thing, and like all these "scenes" im glad im not a part of it.
infact lets not even bother mentioning all this rediculous camber they put on them aswell. let the vag lot do what they do best.

Not really, he has a true point.
If people wanna put stretched tyres on then fine, but it's when they then try and defend them and say they'll handle better than most cars? I'm sorry but these people need a reality check if they think there slammed car on airbags with 145 stretched tyres is going to handle well
