hi people,
i just bought a calibra redtop yesterday and when i had a look under the bonnet the release cable worked fine but i think it may have strtched or something as today i just cant get the bonnet to release! how can i release it?
i cant in through the grill o under the bonnet so is it a bumper off job?
any info will be greatly apprecated, cheers,

Have you tried hitting/pushing the bonnet down as someone pulls the lever?

If they are the same or nearly the same as novas you look at the catch through the grill (easier to take the grill off if you can) and get a screw driver and lever the catch sideways and the bonnet will pop.

joe......yeh it seemed to work a couple of time but now its just not budging....
sand-eel......i can just se the spring (on the bonnet) through a gap between the bonnet and bumper,but the grill is none-removeable,it looks like a bumper off job...

tried that mark......the cable is really stretched, the lever pulls about 1-2 inches, its just not releasing,cheers for the info tho mate....

Did this on my astra, keep pullin it, and tryin to do the bonnent at same time.

disconnect the wire from the bonnet pull and put a pair of vise grips on it and pull it as hard as you can
