Thought about Nankangs 
Is it for a daily driver or just for drag strips?
I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.

every other daily driver sort of thing. weekends and evenings and occasionally work and back.
ive decided to go for the yoko's.

I was going to suggest Hoosier slicks if it was just for dragging.

no i use it as a car a pretty much half the week. i also strangely want to keep it as a car and drive it the same way i race it like i did with the speedlines.

yoko a048's are great they are dearer but they do last a hell of alot longer than r888 even if you go for the soft compound ones

the yoko is a better tyre, its not as popular as the 888 due to the price of it and people rave about the 888.
another good one to loo kat is the dunlop direzza 03G

I had 2 a048r's on my corsa when used to go out on track and cant praise them enough, lasted me about 6 months including doing 3 or 4 track days

its the s drives that have replaced the a539's. thats what i have on the normal speedlines for the front. theyre a road pattern. i really need track orientated stuff for the grip. pretty much dont see grip till 5th with a539's on.

from speaking to a few people and places we deal with that do track cars etc, they all say the yoko is better, just people buy the r888 due to price.
so ive ordered some up today from yokohama. should be here in the morning will get them fitted thursday as i want to shread the fullrun and kleber tomorrow night just for some fun.
