hey, could do with some plastic counters making for a prototype game.. need to be 15mm diameter by 3mm .. 240 counters in total.
Anyone know where i can get this done cheaper than last quote of £120 ??
Tried google etc emailed a few places but most say they cannot do this with the cutting tools they use.
Any ideas?
thanks

need some one with a lathe. Bar of said plastic 15mm diameter. Then part off every 3mm not that hard (if u know what your doing). Dont know where you would get plastic bar from though. Id have though that the actual process would be fairly simples

Maybe he was going to get a square bar of plastic and turn it round instead of starting off with a cylinder of plastic in the first place

easier and cheaper to find someone with a laser cutting machine and get them to do it.
try www.horbarts.com. they might be able to help you, or even put you in contact with someone! Will be a hell of a lot easier and quicker than fannying around with a lathe!

I could do it. Would be in 4mm Ply, 4mm MDF, 2mm coloured HIPS, 2mm clear PVC or 4mm coloured Acrylic.
Tell me what you're after, I probably wont be able to give you a price until Monday now. But I guarantee it will be a fraction of the cost of what you've already been quoted!
