Afternoon, going down to alton towers this week and been trying to get somewhere nice to stay to make it a bit more special as were not getting abroad this year.

Question is, is £300 really expensive for 2 nights at this time of year or is that about right.. Thats for a log cabin with private hot tub and plasma, sky, 4 post bed etc..

Its a place called quarry walk, and thats just for the cabin. Meals etc dont bother me because I'm picky anyway so prefer to get what I want.. lol

plus its not bad at this time of year around Alton Towers; everything gets snapped up with the kids being on holiday.

Locals avoid the Towers from the middle of July - September

TBH You'd pay more than that for a hotel room with a similar spec so its not that bad.

Sleeps 4 but theres only me and my other half going so size isnt a huge issue. Its nearly fully booked which is a good sign I suppose and reviews look really good. I'm more interested in the hot tub than anything else..

True.. Its either something like this or a scummy travel inn that I will hate so I think I'd rather spend the extra and have a good weekend..

All depends what you want. If you want a hot tub it narrows it downa lot, theres lots of log cabbins in Scotland though.

in short yes; our post code comes under North West not Midlands but we get Midlands Today news hence being North Midlands, not mid-midlands.

Also I'd call Liverpool Mid-North as its not really cumbria/the borders which is North North, Cheshire is South-North and Liverpool is Mid-North
