No, not in my pants.
A load of us want to camp this weekend away, but campsites are being jews and saying no to single sex groups. We have a yes from one or two but not where we ideally want.
What are the rules/laws about pitching in a woods or forest?
Need somewhere in the peak district ideally. Help

land owners permission to camp iirc?
ask a farmer, slip them £10 each and they might give you the up but you need landowners permisison to pitch a tent as a means for accomodation (ie to sleep in) if it is a public right of way (footpath/bridleway) you'll need to contact the local council. you can do anything by day (for example fishermen pitching shelters on the banks of the Thames) but you should have permisison otherwise

From the quick skim read of those links, it's not illegal to to pitch up in the peak district, just better if you ask permission?

As kids we used to go find some woods, anywhere, and pitch up. Bonfires, fags, booze, ahhh happy days...
Only ever issue we had was 2 police officers who had to walk accross nearly a miles worth of fields to tell us to turn the music down due to the locals complaining. They were jolly policemen though, and even after getting muddy shoes they were still really nice blokes. Asked us to keep it down a bit, but enjoy the night, before walking back through the fields

As long as you dont take the p1ss with excessive music volume, and lound banter, you should be fine really.
Take the p1ss and expect to be booted on.

Likewise. Ended up burning the girls duvets to keep us warm - the plan worked nicely.

Me and my mates went out to camp. Went to 2 different camp sites and they wouldn't let us on. We just went and found a quiet area in some woods and pitched up there Was ace! Bit dodgy at night tho because there wasn't a single street light or anything for miles so it was literally pitch black, not a single tiny little bit of light.

Why don't you say "NO" to having a sausage fest and invite some girls?

We used drink to keep warm.
I do remember waking up to see a friend pissing the the fire, then he wobbled, and fell onto said fire, and rolled off, got up, went to bed.
"you alright chris?"
"yeah yeah, no worries mate, alls good, snooooooze"
Woke up in the morning, he hand was completly burnt and yellow with pus, bits of twig, and dirt all in his hand. He'd burnt most the skin off Spent the next month with his hand strapped up due to the burns
