Anybody know what can cause a 1.4 16v engine to be low on power sometimes??
Runs fine most of the time but just seems to be low on power now and again!!
BTW i havent brought this car was looking to buy it soo wanted some help on trying to diagnose the problem to see if its actually worth buying or not! Ill give you all the information i know:-
The person said it could either be cat or water pump??
Possibly cat maybe EGR valve??
Its had a new timing belt and thermostat aswell.

when i changed my engine drove it it had a hestaion between x amount of revs then cleared i changed the egr valve seem to slove but after i changed a bloke at the motor factors said it might of needed a clean so could try that but may not just a little bit of advice
