hi people,
i swapped my 17" wheels 1 week ago today for some standard 15" wheels and a bit of cash my way, i had had 2 new tyres put on the front and got both wheels balanced.....(on the 17'sjust before we swapped)
now the guy has just text me saying that his car shakes at high speeds due to the wheels being buckled! and has asked for his wheels and the money back....
now if he had got back to me the day after and said something i wouldnt mind but 1 week later! thats just a joke......he could have bukled them himself....
i got the guy to come to my house and we chaged wheels outside so its not like we met somewhere random!
i have told him to go get his tracking done and see after that,
so what would you do? i am a genuine guy that doesnt want to do someone over.....but im not wanting to give the wheels and money back seeing as tho they were fine on my car! so why shouldnt they be fine on his?

sorry for the essay, just wanting some ohter input...
brad

Have you done him over?

Were the wheels spot on when you sold them, defo not buckled, you would know if they'd been on your car

If not, tell him they've been sold last week and theres nothing you can do

definatley not done him over, the wheels were fine on my car, i had been to hull the day before no problems, the cars drove perfect with them on,
i even asked the guys at the tyre centre if they were ok when they were balancing them and they said they were perfect, no buckles etc, i pretty sure i could get written confermation of it if needs be.....

Just tell him what you posted above, had them checked before you sold them, they were fine

So any problems must have happened after

do you drive a corsa? did they go onto a corsa?

Could check the obvious things like tracking, if there directional tyres check there on the right way round? TRACKING. if that fails tell him to go kwik fit and have them check the two front ones on the wheel balancing machine to see if they are actually buckled... i had this done a couple years back for free and found out mine actually were...

I had that once.

I sold some Mille Migla Spiders to some twat from my Corsa, he was in a Saxo. He rang back a couple hours later saying they were bent as the twat didn't realise they wouldn't fit.

I told him I wasn't interested and don't ring me again.

Those were the days. I wouldn't say that now, I suspect I would get stabbed or my house burnt down.
