As above really. I now no longer use my laptop because I've finished Uni. It has a relatively new HDD in that I installed about October '08 iirc. Will it stop working if I don't use it? i.e. seize up? Don't want to rely on my laptop one day, press the power button and nothing happen

Two tech guys giving different answers

I'd say you won't have any issues. I've recently pulled out a 386 from the loft which has been up there at least 6 years. Powered up through Dos 6.22 and into Windows 3.11 spot on.

If you sit your laptop inside 10cms of water until you want to re-use it that will keep everything ticking over.
