Should I have one of these?

Corsa_Power has kindly given me info on what vacuum pipe etc on the Throttle body goes where, and he shows me a picture of a pipe from the TB going to a fuel Vent Valve...

quote:

Other small one on the front goes to the fuel vent valve (near the distributor bolted to the right hand side of the engine)

Should I have one - I don't appear to have anything there - WIll this effect the running, and where can i get one, are they expensive?

Mine's from a 1990 Cavalier and has the vent.
I've heard though they run better with the vent only partially plumbed in.

if you have two samll holes on the throttle body one should be for the fuel pressure regulator and the other for the small breather on the rocker cover.

if you have the plug for it,your eu light will be on constantly if its unplugged.one side of it goes to the cannister in the wheel arch, you should have a small vac pipe running up your bulk head.and the other side goes to the inlet manifold(below the tb)

Oh right - Well i'm not sure whether I have the plug or not...

I have a spare 3 pin plug with only 2 wires, which is near the fuel relay plug on the loom, so could be that in fairness...

I'm off to the scrappy in a bit so i'll try rob one and see

Cheers

What's the engine out of?
I noticed the GTE engine Sxi kid is using doesn't have this vent or the wiring for it.

Not entirely sure tbh...

Doesn't look to have a plug, but it does have a random 3 pin plug with only 2 wires.. brown and brown and red or something...

Nothing appears to be there for the Fuel vent valve though, and there's a random white 2 pin plug, which apparently doesn't ned to be used..

I have no power atm somewhere along the line though...

Cheers
