The mrs was in a 30 day redundancy thing at her work. The day before she was told she was made redundant (yesterday) she managed to have a job interview and secure a job with less hours 3k more pay a year and with a company that encourages self progression now thats lucky plus she will get her redundancy package just short of 2k so thats Florida for next year paid off

my mates missus was the same. 3 days before she was due to finish she gets a job on €2k more a year plus she is in here current job a long time so she is getting €20k+ in redundancy

Mine worked out very similar, worked for volvo trucks, they closed there depot i worked at. While we was in a wind down period, got offered a job by another local company. Offered me more money, still working on exactly the same vehicles as they got all the work.
Ended up with over 6k in the bank and a new job the next week 
And i much much prefer the new job!
