I have noticed that i have a squeeking noise coming from my drivers side wheel, it almost sounds like the rubber off the cv boot
It dissappears when im turning right, im confused as to what it could be, anyone had the same symptoms?? Its fine on the other side, dont think it could be pads as they have alot of wear left in them.
Muchos gracias for any help

I had a brief look tonight the bearing seems fine as there is no play in the wheel its self and no grinding when being turned.
When i turned the wheel it did sound like it was something rubbing on the disc which could only really be the pads, so gonna get it to my local garage and have it checked out.
Thanks for the reply am4nf

has the wheel been off lately? if so maybe the metal plate behind the disc is bent and rubbing on the disc?
if not then check pads etc

Right had the wheel off at lunch, cleaned up as much as possible checked pads (fine) checked discs (fine) and the backing plate (fine)
One query is that there is a disc retaining bolt missing so the disc was free moving. would this pose any threat as im guessing the wheel will keeo the disc nice and snug against the hub.
I didnt check the hub nut as i didnt have a socket big enough to hand....possibility???
I does seem to come from the cv joint/boot area so could it possibly be that the splines have gone dry and need greasing up or that the cv joint itself is knackered??
