Online, you'd never lose your ticket then and it automatically checks it for you and emails you to tell you if you have won.

Does make me laugh about the rollover mentality. But I can't deny i'll normally buy a ticket if it's a rollover.
Because a chance of winning £4million just isn't worth it, has to be over £10m really. 
Would you be pissed off if you won the £4m jackpot and 4 other people won it as well? I'd be a bit pissed off it's your once in a lifetime thing, and a few other people have stolen money from you

in the shops although i did it online once.
but in all honesty i dont play it very well because i never win  .
won 1k once with 5 numbers which is nice but depressing when you think.. if i had one number different i would have 85k

In my infinite bordom I Uni, I wornte a spreadsheet with every draw ever made. I calculated the most regularly drawn numbers and the order in which they were most constant; ie which number was drawn as first ball most often etc.
I got a series of numbers which I htought was onto a winner and found they were, only 8 months previously and had been drawn together as 5balls and a bonus winning about £147,000.
Damn; now I just get a lucky dip every Saturday
